Processes, not programs, change cultures and produce demonstrable shifts. Proven processes achieve sustainability when they become institutionalized at a local level... a ‘community’ level

The Global Give Back Circle (GGBC) is an Empowerment and Enablement Process whereby disadvantaged girls are guided, inspired, encouraged and motivated through a Mentoring Model and Methodology that connects Gratitudes, Goals and Giving Back.

It is based on a core 'Give Back' ethos designed to institutionalize a continuous source of empowerment and enablement at a community level as today's GGBC Girls give back to Tomorrows GGBC Girls.

Fact: The only thing worse than being disadvantaged in Africa, is being a girl who is disadvantaged in Africa.

Fact: When a girl graduates High School in Kenya, she does it against extraordinary odds.

Fact: A High School Diploma alone does not lift a disadvantaged girl out of the circle of poverty in Kenya.

Fact: Charitable sponsorships which are anonymous and unconditional can many times provoke a sense of entitlement and a disconnection from one's roots and local communities.

Fact: A dedicated mentor who is committed to providing wisdom, insight, guidance and encouragement, can have a dramatic impact on a destitute girl's ability to realize her dreams and achieve her goals.

Kenya's GGBC connects over 160 disadvantaged girls to mentors from seven different countries, including Kenya. Through a structured Five-Phase Mentoring Process, that includes Workshops, Journalizing, Letter Writing and Personal Visits, the girls are guided to articulate their goals and dreams and supported to make them realities.
