My Intellectual Self

This dimension of yourself is related to how you think about things, how you do in school, and how you strive to make good decisions.  School is an important part of your Intellectual Self.  Some subjects will be more interesting to you than others, but you still need to put your best into studying every subject, and performing well on every exam, everyday.  When you look back on school, you should be able to say, “I really worked hard for that”!

Look for your strengths and discover what you are good at, and what you are passionate about. If you select a profession that you would like to enter, make it a point to research what is required to be successful in this profession. Ask people who are in this profession what they did to succeed in it. Talk to people about it when ever you get the chance. Really understand everything you can about it, and how it fits with your strengths. This will tell you if it is right for you.

Because you are still forming ideas about what you want to do with your life, do not be afraid to imagine “what if”. Be open to all sorts of options and opportunities, and consider how they can create a wonderful life for you, and those you care about.
