Position Title: Global Give Back Circle Foundation Program Coordinator
Location: Kigali, Rwanda
Reports to: Executive Secretary, Global Give Back Circle Foundation, Rwanda
Contract Type: Full-time
- Background
The Global Give Back Circle Foundation Rwanda, supports high school girls through three main components:
- Mentorship – Every girl is paired with a mentor who guides and supports her.
- Life Skills Workshops – Monthly workshops equip girls with essential skills for life and career.
- Give Back Projects – Every girl designs and implements a project to give back to her community(School)
The Program Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all these components are well organized, mentors and mentees are supported, and activities run smoothly.
- Purpose of the Role
The Coordinator makes sure the program is active, organized, and effective. She/he connects mentors and mentees, organizes workshops, follows up on Give Back Projects, and reports progress to the Executive Secretary.
- Key Responsibilities
- Mentorship Program
- Recruit new mentors from private sector organizations and through online platforms (e.g., LinkedIn).
- Review mentor applications and keep an updated mentor database.
- Review mentee applications and prepare short bios for each girl.
- Match mentors with mentees and rematch if needed.
- Prepare and send weekly “Mentor Tips” to support mentors.
- Manage and monitor the mentor WhatsApp group.
- Conduct induction webinars for new mentors (with support of the Executive Secretary).
- Check in regularly with mentors and mentees to make sure they are connecting well.
- Solve any issues or concerns raised by mentors or mentees.
- Life Skills Workshops
- Plan and organize monthly life skills workshops for mentees.
- Prepare workshop materials and coordinate logistics with School coordinator.
- Work closely with the Executive Secretary to ensure workshops align with the program’s goals.
- Give Back Projects
- Review mentees’ Give Back Project proposals.
- Monitor and track each girl’s project progress.
- Provide guidance and encouragement to mentees as they implement their projects.
- Program Support & Administration
- Supervise and support the school coordinator.
- Help the Executive Secretary with private sector engagement activities.
- Organize mentor recruitment forums and prepare welcome kits for mentors.
- Collect and document mentor–mentee success stories.
- Prepare and submit fund requests for program activities to Executive Secretary.
- Keep all program documents and intellectual property safely stored on Program Google Drive folder and SharePoint.
- Collect, analyze, and submit data needed for program evaluations.
- Prepare and submit a weekly progress report every Friday.
- Join weekly calls with the GGBC Foundation team to give updates.
- Other job assignments that an Executive Secretary may give.
